Taung New Town - Phase 1 Housing. Layout optimised using SuDs to reduce engineering servicing costs to enable larger subsidised houses. Servicing costs were half those usually associated with subsidised housing projects. This scheme provided secure tenure for families who would otherwise been subject to the vagaries and patronage of tribal communal land tenure.
